Obituary of Gabe Taylor

Funeral services for Gabe Taylor, age 17, of Wadley, AL, will be held on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Community Life Church with Rev. Dan Waller and Bro. Zach Culbertson officiating.  Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, September 4, 2021. Mr. Taylor will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services beginning on Sunday.

Mr. Taylor passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, in Roanoke, Alabama. 

Survivors include his parents, Stephen and Bobbie Taylor of Wadley; grandparents, Bob and Phillis Taylor of Wadley; great-grandmother, Earlene Scott of Roanoke; sisters, Kaylee Moore (Clayton) and Faith Dunlap both of Roanoke; brothers, Anthony Taylor (Tiffani) of Roanoke, Kody Taylor (Katie) of Rock Mills, Kevin Dunlap of Anchorage, Alaska, and Braxton Taylor of Wadley.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Taylor, Kody Taylor, Kevin Dunlap, Skyler Couch, Allen Exum, and Sebastain Exum. Honorary pallbearers will be Braxton Taylor, Rylee Cummings, and Brandon Clark.

Mr. Taylor was born in Valley, Alabama, on August 24, 2004, the son of Stephen and Bobbie Taylor.  He was a member of Community Life Church and attended Handley High School.  He was a member of the Handley fishing team and was a former band member.  Mr. Taylor was also a drummer for Community Life Church.  Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his grandmother, Jane Keele Dunlap; uncle, Jessie Turman; and great-grandmother, Gleamor Wright.
