Thank you all for sharing your thoughts and prayers for our family. We have just been so shocked on one hand and so grateful on the other hand for everyone's comments, memories, and condolences. You all knew him in so many different roles or times in his life.
Jason and I were so fortunate to have the front row seats in this man's life. He had such an abundance of skills, abilities, and curiosity of new things. So many plans for the future.
He is gone too soon. He had so much more to experience and do.

My wife and I offer our condolences to Jackie, Jason, and family. Worked with Randy at AU Facilities for 5 years. He was great co-worker willingly to tell you what you needed to hear, rather than what you wanted to hear. He was missed when he left AU; am sure he is already missed at University of South Alabama.
Always remember my very first day of work at AU Facilities. I arrived early and so did Randy. He saw me park my car (he knew me as he was one of my interviewers). He immediately came over to personally welcome me and then helped me carry my many boxes into my new office.
That's always been my fondest memory of Randy. Not just welcoming me, but then taking time to help me, especially since he was at least couple pay-grades above me. But that didn't matter to Randy; he was going to help.
Make God grant you comfort and give you peace at this difficult time. Thomas and Cheryl Dodds

My deepest sympathies to the Moon family. You are in my thoughts and prayers. South was so fortunate to have had Randy’s leadership over the past 11 years and I was privileged to have had the opportunity to work closely with him for many years. He made such a significant impact on so many people and his forward thinking and guidance were so important in shaping this institution.

Randy was a mentor to me at Auburn and always challenged me to be the best I could be.
As a friend-I spent many Saturdays at his homestead farm harvesting rocks for my garden rock wall.
He will be missed!

Offering prayers for the Moon family. Randy was a talented professional who demonstrated a dedication to all the organizations in which he served. He shared his talents without hesitation. He will be remembered not only for the structures he built, but his example of loyalty and principled leadership. Randy’s legacy will live on through all the people that experienced his passion and purpose. God Bless. Greg Downes

We extend our sympathy, thoughts and prayers to all.
Randy was always a good friend and coworker. We shared many good times together, that I will always remember.
Randy always had your back and was always there if you needed someone to help.
I know he will surely be missed.
So sorry for your loss.
