Obituary of Margie Lurline Henry

Funeral services for Margie Lurline Henry, age 85, of Roanoke will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Stoney Halsey officiating and Bro. Ussery Henry, Jr. delivering the eulogy.  Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, May 2, 2021.

Mrs. Henry passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at her residence.

Survivors include: two daughters, Donna Hendrix (Anthony) and Jennifer Smith (John), both of Roanoke; five sons, Larry Henry (Catherine) of Las Vegas, NV, Ussery Henry, Jr., of Roanoke, Marvin Henry (Penny) of Kingsport, TN, John Calvin Henry of Roanoke, and Manley Henry )Joan) of Luthersville, GA; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; nephew, Ricky Hancock (Arrie) of Wedowee; and niece, June Windsor of Roanoke.

Pallbearers will be Allen Trask, Adam Trask, Kevin Trask, Drew Henry, Jeremy Henry, and Bill Harris.

A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mrs. Henry was born on August 4, 1935, the daughter of William and Lala Clack Hancock.  She was a member of Forest Home Congregational Christian Church and worked as a nurse at West Georgia Medical Center and Randolph Medical Center.  Mrs. Henry was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ussery Manley Henry, Sr.; son, Timothy Henry; grandchildren, Larissa Henry, Keith Henry, and Timothy Henry, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Nadine Henry; son-in-law, David Harris, Sr.; and brother, William Milton Hancock.
