Obituary of Bayron Whaley
Graveside services for Bayron Whaley, age 83, of Roanoke will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Randolph Memory Gardens with Bro. Tim Whaley and Bro. Scott Whaley officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30-2:45 PM on Tuesday before services begin.
Mr. Whaley passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Traylor’s Nursing Center.
Survivors include his wife, Janell Whaley of Roanoke; one son, Randy Whaley (Kathy) of Fitzgerald, GA; four grandchildren, Nick Whaley (Tashena) of Wartburg, TN, Allyson Cameron (Aaron) of Fitzgerald, GA, Jeremy Biggers (Megan) of Excel, AL, and Will Biggers of Fitzgerald, GA; three great-grandchildren, Madelyn Biggers and Connor Biggers, both of Excel, AL, and Dalton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Steve Butler, Alan Whaley, Thomas McMurray, Russell Norred, Aaron Cameron, and Ricky Parmer.
A Wedowee native, Mr. Whaley was born on October 10, 1937, the son of Cleveland Mac and Minnie Will Richardson Whaley. He was a member of Midway United Methodist Church and worked as a truck driver for Diversified, West Point Stephens, West Point Pepperell, and J-Par Trucking. Mr. Whaley was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Rhonda Lynn Whaley; grandson, Russell Brett Frye; and brothers, J. W. Whaley, Gene Whaley, Don Whaley, and Clarence Whaley.
