Yvonne Joyce Lanting Prescott, age 71, of Roanoke passed away Monday, January 4, 2021, at her residence.

Survivors include her husband, Alvin Prescott of Roanoke; two daughters, Kelly Sharpe (Chris) and Valerie Boss; two sons, John Prescott (Brenda) and Bert Prescott (Jan); ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A Grand Rapids, Michigan native, Mrs. Prescott was born on March 27, 1950, the daughter of Jacob Jan and Joyce Loraine Ives Lanting.  She was a homemaker.  Mrs. Prescott was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Mark and Timmy Lanting.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation at 13770 Noel Road, Suite 801889, Dallas, TX 75380, the Randolph County Animal Shelter at 104 Animal Shelter Road, Wedowee, AL 36278, or one’s favorite charity.
