Obituary of Walter Louis Robertson

Funeral services for Walter Louis Robertson, age 93, of Rock Mills will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020, at 1:00 PM at Rock Mills United Methodist Church with Bro. Tim Callaway and Bro. Ray Weaver officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00-1:00 PM on Friday before services begin.

Mr. Robertson passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Robertson of Rock Mills; two daughters, Patricia Robertson Halsey (Shannon) of Opelika and Mary Beth Robertson Earnest (Stanley) of Rock Mills; one son, Jeff Robertson (Candice) of Rome, GA; four grandchildren, Rachel, Amanda, Ian, and Micaela; seven great-grandchildren, Brayden, Makayla, Brianna, Caleb, Aubrey, Clayton, and Liam; and two brothers, Allen Robertson (Maggielene) of Newnan, GA, and Billy Robertson (Pearl) of Sharpsburg, GA.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Smith, Mike Robertson, Tony, Robertson, Kevin Robertson, Cal Green and Bill Caypless.

Mr. Robertson was born January 3, 1927, the son of Walter and Willie Banks Robertson. He was Christian by faith and was a member of Rock Mills United Methodist Church. He retired from Fashion Star where we had worked as a sewing machine mechanic for many years. He later worked as a custodian at Rock Mills School. Mr. Robertson was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Ephrem; and two brothers, Edward and Leon Robertson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Rock Mills Methodist Church c/o Sherry Towler, 66664 Hwy 22, Roanoke, AL 36274, Compassus Hospice, or Kelly’s Kids at Rock Mills School.
