Obituary of Rita Herren

Funeral services for Rita Herren, age 72, of Roanoke will be held on Friday, July 3, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Keith Benefield and Bro. Edward Herren officiating

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, July 2, 2020.

Mrs. Herren passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020, at her residence.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne Herren of Roanoke; one daughter, Tiffany Conn of Roanoke; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Winona McGraw of Roanoke, June Shuemaker of Canton, IL, Panthia Novella Hedrick of Tonica, IL; and Laverne Collins of Naugatuck, WV.

A Twila, Kentucky native, Mrs. Herren was born on May 21, 1948, the daughter of Silas Stokley and Geneva Knuckles Brock.  She was a member of Taylor’s Crossroads Church of Christ and was self-employed.  Mrs. Herren was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Heath and Joel Conn; great-grandchild, Landon Kyle Ragan; two sisters, Jill and Lisa Brock; and six brothers, Randolph, Rockford Warren, Vernon, Ronald Gene, Delphin, and Silas.

Memorials may be floral or donations may be made to Quattlebaum Funeral Home to go towards final expenses.
