Deryle was such a source of joy, I never remember seeing him without a smile. He had a way of bringing sunshine with him where ever he went. I will miss you, my friend, but I will see you again at Jesus' feet. Love and prayers to Joyce and all the family.

Great memories of Dooley are endless..I would spend hours visiting or on the phone with Joyce and Dooley. Anytime I needed advise on any situation, I knew Dooley would give me Godly advise. He would actually quote scripture from the bible. And as I thanked him for his advise, he would end with a voice tone of Elvis saying "thank you, thank you very much!"
Now I say to Dooley...What a wonderful husband, dad and Pawpaw you were! I know that when you were met by your mom, brother and other family and friends at the gates of haven, Jesus said "My son, well done. Enter in!"
Joyce, You are one of my BFF's of 50 plus years.so you know that I am just a phone call away..I love you my friend! God bless you all!

It is going to be different without you around. I remember the first day I met you when you came over to our house to have dinner. I told my mom "I don't think that I like him to well." It is crazy how life has changed since that first meeting. I can honestly say you were the best thing that ever happened to my mom. When I think of you the only way I can describe it is in a song by Brad Paisley talking about a step-father being the man he did not have to be. You were that man! You did not have to be the father of my mom's children but you were. I am going to miss our long converations about your life and the mext step in mine. Many of the decisions that I made were because of conversations that I had with you. It is going to be hard to stop myself from making that phone call in the future when I have a question. I remember when my check engine light came on and you were the first person I called. I remember when I met my wife and you were the one I called. I remember when I asked your advice about popping the question. I also remember when I did pop the question and I called to let you know. This list could go on forever! Derlye, I love you and I will miss you! Thank you for being the dad you did not have to be.
