OBITUARY
Graveside services for, Mrs. Ann Carlton Rorke McDonald, age 90, of Roanoke, will be held at 4:00 pm, Friday, September 9, 2011, from Randolph Memory Gardens with Rev. Walter Turner officiating. Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. McDonald died September 9, 2011 at Lafayette Nursing Home.
Mrs. McDonald is survived by one daughter, Ann McDonald Boyd of Roanoke; one grandchild, Jennifer Boyd of Trussville.
Mrs. McDonald was born, September 30, 1920, the daughter of E. C. and Thelma Shanks Rorke. She was a member of the Roanoke First Baptist Church, a teacher for Handley High School and had served in the United States Marines during WWII. Mrs. McDonald was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Frances McNell; one brother, Cary Rorke.
