Obituary of Peggy T Wilford

Graveside services for Peggy T. Wilford, age 84, of Roanoke, will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at 11:00 AM from Randolph Memory Gardens with Rev. Frank Foster, Jr. and Rev. Stanley Yarbrough officiating. Quattlebaum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Wilford passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020, at West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange, GA. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Gillespie (husband, Gary) of Roanoke, AL and Susan Smith (husband, Darrell) of Wedowee, AL; four grandchildren, Keshia Norred, Wendy Pike, Wesley Smith, and Ben Smith; and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Wayne Boggs, Freddy Boggs, Dewayne Foster, Frank Foster, Jr., Greg Norred, and Stevan Pike. A lifelong resident of Randolph County, Mrs. Wilford was born on March 9, 1936, the daughter of Sanford William and Bertha Mae Yarbrough Turner. She was a member of Rock Mills Church of the Nazarene and was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Doris Wilford; one grandson, Michael Smith; and two brothers, Reed and Ray Turner. Memorials may be cemetery arrangements only; the family requests no green plants.
