Obituary of Steven Moore

Graveside services for Steven Moore, age 38, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2020, at 12:00 noon at Taylor’s Crossroads Church of Christ Cemetery with Bro. Bill Prince, Jr., and Bro. Allan Daniel officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Moore passed away Friday, April 17, 2020. Survivors include: two daughters, Sarah Lynn Moore and Chloe Brooke Moore, both of Woodland; mother of his children, Lesli Arrington and grandmother of his children, Katrenia Arrington; one sister, Sarah Denise Scott (Shawn) of Piedmont; a brother, Gregg Moore (Nancy) of Roanoke; niece, Ashley Moore; nephew, Lee Moore (Calli); adoptive grandparents, Bill and Joyce Prince; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Pallbearers will be Walt Patrus, Buddy McKenzie, Chad Prince, Brad Prince, Lee Moore, and Shawn Scott. A Georgia native, Mr. Moore was born on May 18, 1981, the son of Fred B. and Janice Barfield Moore. He was a member of Taylor’s Crossroads Church of Christ and worked as a machinist at Southwire. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, a fisherman, and loved his girls immensely and would do anything for them. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mellissa Jane Moore; and grandparents, Bennie L. and Sarah Barfield and Eunice Moore. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to First State Bank, P.O. Box 264, Wedowee, AL 36278, to the Sarah & Chloe Moore Fund.
