Graveside services for Hoyt Taylor Bowen, Jr., age 75, of Lincoln, formerly of Roanoke, will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Randolph Memory Gardens with Curtis Sessions officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-1:30 PM on Wednesday before services begin.
Mr. Bowen passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Bowen of Lincoln; two sons, Danny Wayne Bowen (Terri) and Robert Paul Bowen (Rebecca), both of Lincoln; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Jeter and Barbara Hester, both of Roanoke; and one brother, Tony “Tank” Bowen of Las Vegas, NM.
Pallbearers will be Alex Casey, Curtis Sessions, Jim Black, Jim Jordan, Nathan Fulmer, and Cecil Fulmer.
A Roanoke native, Mr. Bowen was born on December 22, 1944, the son of Hoyt Bowen Sr., and Etha Mae Langley Bowen. He was a member of Eureka First United Methodist Church and was a retired electrical engineer for Steris Corp and was a lifetime member of the Moose Club. Mr. Bowen was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Sandra Christopher and Sherry Bowen.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Eureka FUMC or Saks UMC.
