Funeral services for Dellia Marybeth Brown Nobley, age 86, of Roanoke, AL, will be held Thursday, February 27, 2020, at 1:00 PM at Faith Baptist Church with
Rev. S. T. Janey, Rev. Doug Turner, and Rev. Scott Whaley officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Quattlebaum Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26.
Mrs. Nobley passed away on Monday, February 24, 2020, at Traylor’s Nursing Home.
She is survived by four daughters, Shelia Turner (Doug) of Wedowee, AL, Ramona Almond (Richard) of Woodland, AL, Sharon Lyner (Phillip) of Box Springs, GA, and Regina Gowan of Lakeland, FL; one son, Steve Nobley (Lisa) of Roanoke; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Pearlie Moore and Louise Noles, both of Woodland, AL; and a host of other extended family members.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Chappell, Chantlee Chappell, Todd Almond, David Lyner, Chase Nobley, Jacob Anglin and Chance Nobley. Mrs. Nobley’s great grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Nobley was born March 8, 1933, the daughter of Bural and Lula Brown. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and was a textile worker and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer Nobley; two brothers, Barney Brown and Oscar Brown; six sisters, Ruby Dye, Eula Mae Arrington, Lela Madden, Eva Seymore, Willie Mae Ellis, Ellen Noles; one granddaughter, Brittany Nobley; one great-grandchild, Chandler Bassett; and son-in-law, Sanford Chappell.
