OBITUARY
Funeral services for, Mary Jim Findley Ramsey, age 69, of Roanoke, will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, August 21, 2011, from the Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Steve Dean and Rev. Tim Whaley officiating. Burial to follow in Mt. Zion Christian Church Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home on Saturday, August 20, 2011.
Mrs. Ramsey died, Friday, August 19, 2011 at Wedowee Hospital.
Mrs. Ramsey is survived by her husband, Jimmy Ramsey of Roanoke; two daughters, Margie (husband Benjie) Johnson of Roanoke, Lynn (husband Billy) Ledbetter of Roanoke; one sister, Shirley (husband Roy) Pike of Lanett; two grandchildren, Jessica and Clay Pike; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Nick Norred, Justin Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Nick Johnson, Kevin Johnson, James Johnson and James Hill.
Mrs. Ramsey was born, May 8, 1942, the daughter of John Hooper and Mary Lucille Ward Findley. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Christian Church, and remembered by so many for her good "cookin". She had worked at Super D, Bob & Myra's, Happy Trails, Loftin's Pantry and finally owner/operator of North Main Street Restaurant. Everyone knew her loved her. Mrs. Ramsey was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Stanley Findley.
