Funeral services for Wesley M. Wilson, age 80, of Roanoke will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ricky Cummings officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Quattlebaum Funeral Home from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Monday, December 30, 2019.
Mr. Wilson passed away Saturday, December 28, 2019, at Clay County Hospital.
Survivors include one daughter, Karyn Lorraine Bolan (Scott) of Roanoke; two sons, Melvin Brent Wilson of Wedowee and Michael Kent Wilson (Kelli) of Roanoke; seven grandchildren, Ashley Robinson (Brian), Amanda Kirby, Corey Wilson, Leah Wilson, Kasey Vollenweider (Andrew), Kaitlyn Wilson, and Emily Wilson; two great grandchildren, Brantley Robinson and Raelyn Robinson; one sister, Linda Phillips of Hopewell, VA; two brothers, John Wilson of Opelika and Dorsey Wilson of Manchester, GA.
Mr. Wilson was born on May 23, 1939, in Chambers County, the son of Claude J. and Ola Huddleston Wilson. He was a veteran of the United States Army, worked for many years as a retail salesman, and was Christian by faith. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Macel Louise Wilson, and his sister, Ismer Burk.
