well this is a little late but just want to say....well really there are no words but I'm sorry for your loss. a sweet friend!!! will never forget the times we shared. But remember the days, the nights, the good times and the bad times, cherish them all. "life is like a vapor here today and gone tomorrow" words you hear but you never understand until the times comes. Remember her smiles and her foolishness at times. She was here and within a heart beat was in the presence of her LORD.
love you all !!!

To the Family and Friends of Barbara,
She was such a lovely lady, a Godly wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will be greatly missed. I remember her beautiful smile. I will never forget the love and kindnesses she and Herman showed my mother when she was so ill.
I know Barbara is in heaven! My thoughts and prayers are with Herman, Denise, Keith, and their families and especially the grandchildren who loved her so much and all Barbara’s family and friends! Such a loss for everyone.... Barbara was there for everyone in her family, her life and in her church.
Barbara fought a good fight and finished the race well! She lived far longer than expected and led such a productive life in spite of her disease. May you all be comforted by all the sweet wonderful memories and the fact she has a new body and is no longer suffering!!!
Love, Susan Huey Wales

I am so truly sorry for the loss of Barbara. There will without a doubt be a great number of condolences and shared memories. Remembering days in Roanoke with the McDows will always have a special place in my heart, even the times trying to learn to play Duck Hunt or Pong in the living room. May God continue to bless and keep you.

What a wonderful tribute to Mrs. McDow. It is definitely accurate of her. I know you all will miss her dearly, but what wonderful memories you have.
Me personally, I will miss her tea cakes. They were always the best. When she was able her and Mr. McDow would always make some for our Bike Hike bake sale and I was always the first customer.
We love ya'll, praying for you. Nick and Cindy Norred
