Funeral services for Mary Jean McElhatten, age 79, of Roanoke, formerly of Jasper, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019, at 12:00 noon at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Lee Parrish officiating.  Burial will follow at Beulah Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM on Saturday before services begin.

Mrs. McElhatten passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019, at Traylor’s Nursing Center.

Survivors include several cousins.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. McElhatten was born on November 18, 1939, the daughter of Cubie and Willie Bell Alsabrook Sears.  She was Baptist by faith and worked in the banking industry.  Mrs. McElhatten was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands, Robert Wyatt and James A. McElhatten, Sr.
