Obituary of Sharon Darlene Owens Foster

Funeral services for Sharon Darlene Owens Foster, age 62, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Glass officiating.  Burial will follow at Valley Grove Primitive Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 PM on Saturday before services begin.

Ms. Foster passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at Gadsden Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, Alabama.

Survivors include: three sons, Jody Foster of Roanoke, Benjamin Foster of Adelanto, CA, and Kevin Foster (wife, Connie) of Roanoke; her mother, Myrtice Owens Arrington of Roanoke; seven grandchildren; and three brothers, James Owens (wife, Linda) of Edwardsville, Glenn Owens of Panama City, FL, and Wendell Owens (wife, Brenda) of Roanoke.

Pallbearers will be Shane Arrington, Tye Arrington, and Jamie Owens.

A Roanoke native, Ms. Foster was born on March 1, 1957, the daughter of James Melvin Owens and Myrtice Norris Owens Arrington.  She worked as a seamstress for Palm Beach.  Ms. Foster was preceded in death by her father; her husband, Michael Foster; a brother, Christopher Owens; and a sister, Kaye Owens.
