Obituary of Marjorie Harris Pearson
Services for Marjorie Harris Pearson, age 95, of Wadley, AL, will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2019, at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Wadley with Rev. Jack Womack and Rev. Josh Hausen officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the church after the service on Sunday.
Mrs. Pearson passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at Brown Nursing Home in Alexander City, AL.
She is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Pearson Collins (husband, Harry) of Marietta, GA and Dale Pearson White (husband, John) of Marietta, GA; one son, Robert Hurley Pearson (wife, Amelia) of Alexander City, AL; six grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
A lifelong resident of Randolph County, Mrs. Pearson was born on January 1, 1924, the daughter of John Robert Harris, Sr. and Myrtle Seymour Harris. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Wadley, a member of the Quest Club, and a teacher at Wadley High School and Mellow Valley Elementary School for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ellis Hurley Pearson, Jr.; and one brother, John Robert Harris, Jr.
