Obituary of Wesley Morris Kinsey

Funeral services for Wesley Morris Kinsey, age 62, of Woodland, AL, will be held on Monday, May 20, 2019, at 2:00 PM from Noonday Christian Church with Bro. A.J. Pinkard and Bro. Chance Meinzer officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, May 19, 2019. Mr. Kinsey will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services beginning on Monday.

Mr. Kinsey passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019, at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta, GA.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Strain Kinsey of Woodland, AL; one daughter, Katrina Kinsey Ballew (husband, Adam) of Wheeling, WV; one son, Caleb Stone Kinsey of Woodland, AL; his father- and mother-in-law, Ted H. and Harriette Strain of Woodland, AL; two sisters, Judy Timmerman of Dothan, AL and Sherie Pinkard of Roanoke, AL; one brother, Mike White of Franklin, GA; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Adam Slay, Bryant Whaley, Chris May, Quandale Trammell, Terry Allen, Jerry Huddleston, Taylor Jones, and Tim Altork.

A resident of Randolph County for most of his life, Mr. Kinsey was born on March 26, 1957, the son of Leonard C. and Vire White Kinsey. He served as the pastor of Roanoke Christian Church for many years and as a purchasing manager for various companies. He was a member of Randolph County Chamber of Commerce, a graduate of the University of Montevallo, a graduate of Leadership Randolph County, and the founder of the internet radio networks iRockAndBoogie and iSchoolSportsNetwork. He was preceded in death by his parents.
