Obituary of Ray Terrell Yarbrough

OBITUARY Funeral services for, Mr. Ray T. Yarbrough, age 70, of Roanoke, will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 2, 2011, from the Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Franklin Foster, SR and Rev. Stanley Yarbrough officiating. Burial to follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 1, 2011. Mr. Yarbrough died May 30, 2011 at Tanner Medical Center. Mr. Yarbrough is survived by his wife, Sherry Talley Yarbrough of Roanoke; one daughter, Tanya (husband Ken) Teague of Carrollton, GA; two sons, Mandel T. (wife Lea) Yarbrough of Woodland, Christopher (wife Lisa) Wood of LaGrange, GA; mother, Doris Yarbrough of Roanoke; five grandchildren, Josh Teague, Jessica Teague, Nick Yarbrough, Vanessa Yarbrough, Hunter White; one sister, Ronda (husband Harold) Whitaker of Roanoke; two brothers, Ted Yarbrough of Roanoke, Render (wife Rita) Yarbrough of Roanoke. Pallbearers will be Josh Teague, Randy Yarbrough, Mandel Yarbrough, Christopher Wood, Curt Yarbrough, Clint Yarbrough. Mr. Yarbrough was born, March 20, 1941, the son of Rufus Taylor and Doris Fomby Yarbrough. He was a member of Bethany Lime Congregational Christian Church and had been a meat cutter for Winn Dixie and Vinsons. Mr. Yarbrough was preceded in death by his father.
