Obituary of Betty Jean Williams
Funeral services for Betty Jean Williams, 84, of Roanoke will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dalton Hammock officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 PM on Monday, December 17, before services begin.
Mrs. Williams passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018, at East Alabama Medical Center.
Survivors include: one daughter-in-law, Sheila Williams Boyd of Roanoke; one granddaughter, Kim Loveless of Roanoke; one great-granddaughter, Maegan Loveless of Roanoke; three sisters, Deborah Hurley, Rebecca Kirby, and Alene Driver, all of Roanoke; and one brother, Frank Hurley of Roanoke.
Pallbearers will be Larry Driver, Tony Yawn, Jimmy Robinson, and Wayne Ward.
A Roanoke native, Mrs. Williams was born on November 24, 1934, the daughter of Pierce and Verna Brown Hurley. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and worked as a seamstress for Palm Beach. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray H. Williams; one son, Wendell Williams; and one great-grandchild, Kaitlyn Loveless.
