Obituary of Walter William Holloway
Funeral services for Walter William Holloway, age 77, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Scott Whaley, Bro. Steve Williams and Bro. Henry Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, September 7, 2018.
Mr. Holloway passed on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at his home.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Heard Holloway of Roanoke; two daughters, Lynne Kelly(Arnold) of Birmingham and Lena Sands (Robert) of Haltom City, Texas; three sons, Randy Holloway (Robyn) of Odenton, Maryland, Scott Holloway of Roanoke, and Wally Williamson(Christina) of Roanoke; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Lillie Pearl Richardson of California; and one brother, Larry Holloway of Wedowee.
Pallbearers will be Steve Lashley, Rex Marshall, Ronald Cameron, Steve Snow, James Sheppard, Tim Satterwhite, and Lynn Joel Wilkins, Tony Heard.
Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
A Wedowee native, Mr. Holloway was born October 10, 1940, the son Roy Holloway and Maudie Simpson Holloway. He was a member of Zion’s Rest Bible Church and had worked as a supervisor for Amoco Fabrics and Ajax Boilers in Gardena California. He was a former resident of Lawndale, California for 32 years. Mr. Holloway was a strong family man and an avid Alabama football fan. Mr. Holloway was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Kelly Campell; one brother, Roosevelt Holloway; four sisters, Mavis Hand, Mary Francis Wilson, Sara Martin, and Rachel Perry
