Obituary of Rose Pierce Knight
Funeral services for Rose Pierce Knight, age 66, of Wadley, AL, will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ricky Cummings and Rev. Keith Benefield officiating. Burial will follow at Corinth Congregational Christian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, June 8, 2018.
Mrs. Knight passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at her home.
She is survived by her husband, Don Knight of Wadley, AL; one daughter, Lori Sparks (husband, Wesley) of Lineville, AL; two sons, B.J. Knight (wife, Anita) of Roanoke, AL and John Knight (wife, Caitlin) of Wadley, AL; eleven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jason Caldwell, J.W. Cook, Danny Tooker, Gary Rice, Dalton Knight, and Brock Richardson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Reggie Caldwell, Landon Sparks, and Travis Sparks.
A lifelong resident of Randolph County, Mrs. Knight was born on July 19, 1951, the daughter of John and Pearl Hodges Pierce. She was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Frances Pierce; and two brothers, Jim Pierce and Jesse Pierce.
