Funeral services for Sarah Ann Hester, age 79, of Roanoke will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Larry and Teresa Ward officiating.  Burial will follow at Forrester’s Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 15 before services begin.

Miss Hester passed away Monday, May 14, 2018, at her residence.

Survivors include: one sister, Annia Shelnutt (husband, Perry) of Roanoke; a sister-in-law, Bobbie Hester; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Chris Shelnutt, Tony Moore, Logan Shelnutt, B. J. Pike, Mike Mormon, and Jessica Shelnutt.

A Randolph County native, Miss Hester was born on May 16, 1938, the daughter of Emily A. and Elizabeth Alice Melton Hester. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Wallace Hester, Dewrell Hester, and Calvin Hester.
