Obituary of Clois Bolt Towler
Funeral services for Clois Bolt Towler, age 92, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at 1:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Frank Foster, Sr., officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-1:00 PM on Saturday, May 12 before services begin.
Mrs. Towler passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018, at West Georgia Hospice in LaGrange, Georgia.
Survivors include: one daughter, Glenda Andrews of Roanoke; two grandchildren that she raised, Rod McClurg (Susan) of Wadley and Don McClurg (Beth) of Columbiana, AL; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, R. C. Bolt of Roanoke.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Nelson, Cody McClurg, Rusty Guizar, Nickie Burke, Dusty McClurg, and Steve Wingo.
A Newell native, Mrs. Towler was born on December 16, 1925, the daughter of Lee and Nina Wilder Bolt. She was a member of the Rock Mills Church of the Nazarene and worked as a winder for Wehadkee Yarn Mills. Mrs. Towler was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William J. T. Towler, Jr.; two brothers, Charlie Bolt and Loyd Bolt; and one sister, Mavis Pike.
