OBITUARY
Funeral services for, Mr. Cary "Duddy" Rorke, JR, age 86, of Roanoke, will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 20, 2011, from the Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Steve Dean officiating. Burial to follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm at the funeral home on Sunday, March 20th.
Mr. Rorke died Friday, March 18, 2011 at Talladega Health and Rehab.
Mr. Rorke is survived by two daughters, Karen (husband Jon) Taylor of Wadley, Marilyn (husband Lawrence) Taylor of Wedowee; one sister, Ann McDonald of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Moriah Lael Taylor Autrey, Jessie Becca Taylor White, Connor Jackson Taylor.
Pallbearers will be Connor Taylor, Brandon White, Victor Autrey, Jon Taylor and Lawrence Taylor.
Mr. Rorke was born, December 17, 1924, the son of Eleazer Cary, SR and Thelma Shanks Rorke. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, had been a milk distributor for 24 years for Barber Dairy, served in the United States Army during WWII. Mr. Rorke was preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Lois Harman Rorke; his parents. Condolances may be expressed at www.quattlebaumfuneralhome.com.
