Obituary of Annie Mae Lanier

Funeral services for Annie May Lanier, age 88, of Roanoke, will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at 11:00 AM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jackie Simmons officiating.  Burial will follow at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 – 11:00 AM prior to services on Wednesday.

Mrs. Lanier passed away on September 17, 2017 at Wedowee Hospital.

Survivors include: two sons, John Michael Rowland and Charles Gay Rowland both of Tampa, FL; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Lanier was born on September 8, 1929, the daughter of Charles Gay and Ollie May Young Alsabrook.  She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and worked at Rich’s Department Store.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Morris Neil Lanier.
