Private graveside services for Jimmie Lewis Simpson, age 73, of Roanoke, will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017, from Randolph Memory Gardens with Rev. S.T. Janney officiating.

Mrs. Simpson passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at her home.

Pallbearers will be Ross Head, Will Head, Ty Dukus, Trey Burroughs, Deaven McDaniel, Jake Durham, and Nick Collins.

Survivors include her husband, Marlin Ray Simpson of Roanoke; three daughters, Theresa Blalock (John) of Auburn, Tammy Cross (Stephen) and Tina Kennedy (Terry) both of Roanoke; one son, Tim Simpson (Beth) of Heflin; fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Formerly of Valley, Mrs. Simpson was born on September 24, 1943, the daughter of James Lloyd and Ina Mae Meadows Lewis.  She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and had been employed by Handley Mills, Palm Beach, and Wal-Mart.  She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Wylie Lewis; one sister, Faye Henry.
