OBITUARY
Funeral services for Mary Velma Veal, age 94, of Roanoke, will be held Monday, February 14, 2011, at 1:00 pm from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Revs. Bill Dean and Mike Ramage officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 am on Monday.
Mrs. Veal died Saturday, February 12, 2011, at LaFayette Nursing Home.
Survivors include one sister, Hattie Nichols of Valley; several nieces and nephews.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mrs. Veal was born April 1, 1916, daughter of William Alexander and Bernice Allen Johnson. She was a member of First Baptist Church and had been employed with Handley Mills and Playtex Company. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie Amos Veal.
