Obituary of Rhonda Elizabeth Strain

Funeral services for Rhonda Elizabeth Strain, 55, of Roanoke will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at 11:00 AM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Edward Herren officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Grove Congregational Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Monday, February 27, 2017. Ms. Strain passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017, at Roanoke Health Care. Survivors include: one brother, Marty Strain of Roanoke and several uncles, aunts, and cousins. Pallbearers will be Bryant Gray, Kevin Johnson, Hunter Williamson, Rodney smith, Paul Romine, Frankie McClain, and Byron Sizemore. Honorary pallbearers will be Lendle “Shorty” Williamson, Barrett Shelnutt, Ed Shelnutt, Andy Gray, Sidney Moore, Blake Gray, Eli Johnson, Joseph Puckett, and Alex Puckett. A Roanoke native, Ms. Strain was born on June 4, 1961, the daughter of Ray and Abigail Shelnutt Strain. She was a member of East Napoleon Church of Christ. Ms. Strain was preceded in death by her parents.
