Obituary of Cora Lee Clark

Funeral services for Cora Lee Clark, age 97, of Wadley, will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016, at 1:00 PM from Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in the Broughton Community with Rev. Brian Moore and Doug Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, December 29, 2016.
Mrs. Clark passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at Traylor’s Nursing Home.
Survivors include: two daughters, Becky Burton of Wadley and Kathy Brooks of Wadley, two sons, Charles Clark (wife, Jeanne) of Wadley and Jim Clark (wife, Linda) of Wadley; one son-in-law, Derrell Kirby of Wadley; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Chris Albright, Corey Brooks, Kevin Brooks, Kevin Brown, Wayne Kirby, and Bill Shipp.
A Randolph County native, Mrs. Clark was born on December 4, 1919, the daughter of Oris and Minnie Bailey Eiland. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Grady Clark; two sons, Thomas Clark and James Clark; one daughter, Juanita Kirby; one brother, Buck Eiland; and one sister, Mary Douglas.
Flowers will be accepted or donations be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church fund in c/o Doug Brown at 5068 County Road 65, Roanoke, AL 36274.

Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
