OBITUARY
Funeral services for Mr. James U. "Jimmy" Royston, of Roanoke, age 61, will be held Thursday, November 5, 2009, at 2:00 pm from the Antioch Congregational Christian Church with Rev. Stanley Yarbrough officiating. Burial to follow in adjoining church cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 5, 2009.
Mr. Royston died Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Traylor Nursing Home.
Survivors include his mother, Mattie Ruth Royston of Roanoke; one sister, Joye Adcock of Roanoke; one niece, Allison Bryant of Newnan, GA; one nephew, Collin Adcock of Chipley, FL.
Pallbearers will be Billy Royston, Johnny Williams, Sam Shelnutt, David Meddick, Harold Hill, Collin Adcock, Jeffrey Bryant and Frank Benford.
Mr. Royston was born August 15, 1948, the son of James Frank "Buck" and Mattie Ruth Williams Royston. He was a member of Antioch Congregational Christian Church. Mr. Royston was preceded in death by his father.
