Funeral services for Ganell Teel Hudson Strickland, age 77, of Five Points will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at 11:00 AM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Steve Langley and Rev. Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 29, 2016.
Mrs. Strickland passed away Monday, November 28, 2016, at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, J. W. Strickland of Cusseta; one son, Randy Hudson (wife, Carol) of Five Points; one stepdaughter, Alice McCloskey (husband, Chip) of Cusseta; three stepsons, Jimmy Strickland (wife, Elle), Barney Strickland (wife, Anita), and Ricky Strickland, all of Cusseta; one grandson, Jared Hudson (wife, Loretta) of Roanoke; and one sister, Peggy Thompson (husband, Paul) of Lafayette.
Pallbearers will be Jared Hudson, Jeffery Bolt, Thorley Weathers, David Thompson, Kerry Burks, and Benji Johnson.
A Chambers County native, Mrs. Strickland was born on June 3, 1939, the daughter of Gay and Jewell Clanton Teel. She was Baptist by faith and worked as an inspector for Russell Corporation in Lafayette. Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert Hudson; granddaughter, Aleisha Hudson; and a sister, Jo Dykes.

About Us
Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
