Obituary of Donald R. Alsabrook

Funeral services for Donald R. Alsabrook, age 74, of Roanoke, will be held on Sunday, October 23, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wade Price and Rev. Jackie Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Prospect Church Cemetery in Franklin, GA with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Saturday, October 22, 2016. Mr. Alsabrook passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at UAB. Survivors include: his wife, Margarett Ann Alsabrook; two sons, Greg Alsabrook (wife, Jannie) of Roanoke and Stacy Alsabrook (wife, Alyshia) of Roanoke; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A Fulton County native, Mr. Alsabrook was born on February 4, 1942, the son of John Henry Alsabrook and Ida Octava Causey. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and was a truck driver for Wall Street Journal. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Henry J. Alsabrook.
