Obituary of Jacklon Alsabrook Manley

Funeral services for Jacklon Alsabrook Manley, age 81, of Roanoke, will be held on Monday, August 8, 2016, at 3:00 PM from Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Elton Overton and Rev. John Miles officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, August 7, 2016. Mrs. Manley will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services beginning on Monday.
Mrs. Manley passes away Saturday, August 6, 2016.
Survivors include two daughters, Sylvia Richardson (husband, Terry) of Wedowee and Sabrina Rollins (husband, Wade) of Roanoke; two sons, Rodney Manley and Craig Manley, both of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Lee Richardson, Justin Manley, and Andrew Rollins; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lee Richardson, Justin Manley, Andrew Rollins, Dylan Manley, Isabella Manley, Wade Rollins, Terry Richardson, and Jeff Manley.
A lifelong resident of Randolph County, Mrs. Manley was born on September 22, 1934, the daughter of Charlie Alford and Mary Hattie Lou Brown Alsabrook. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carman Wayne Manley; three sisters, Estelle Henson, Betty Thomas, and Katherine Alsabrook; and two brothers, J.C. Alsabrook and Benny Frank Alsabrook.

About Us
Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
