OBITUARY
Graveside service for, Mr. Jerry Alton Horne, age 78, of Roanoke will be 1:00 cst, Friday, December 10, 2010 at Ft. Mitchell Cemetery, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Brian Moore officiating. Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Horne died Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at his home.
Mr. Horne is survived by his companion, Karen Stone of Roanoke; one daughter, Cynthia D. Horne of Lake Wales, FL; one grandchild, Jared Horne of Lake Wales, FL; one brother, Thomas G. Horne of Charlotte, NC.
Mr. Horne was born, August 3, 1932, the son of John Lee and Lofa Virginia Eddins Horne. He was of the Methodist faith, had worked for Southern Railroad for 14 years and Cirtus World, Inc. Mr. Horne served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Horne was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Virginia Horne Irvin.
