OBITUARY
Funeral services for, Mrs. Threasa Okerlene Bennett, age 82, of Roanoke, will be held Sunday, November 28, 2010, from the Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Steve Baccus officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home on Saturday, November 27, 2010.
Mrs. Bennett died Friday, November 26, 2010 at Randolph Medical Center.
Mrs. Bennett is survived by one son, Jerry D. (wife Christy) Bennett of Roanoke; four grandchildren, Kendra Burks, Shelby Bennett, Brandy Bennett and Terry Bennett; eight great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tracy Crenshaw, Rickey Crenshaw, Colby Crenshaw, Mike Fisher, Michael Cummings.
Mrs. Bennett was born, July 23, 1928, the daughter of Lois Vowell. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and had worked for Palm Beach as a seamstress. Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Bennett; two sons, Terry Bennett and Jimmy Bennett.
