Funeral services for Olita Grace Gay Tweedell, age 59, of Locust Grove, Georgia, will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Nathan Sikes officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:0 0 PM on Saturday, April 2, 2016.
Mrs. Tweedell passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Piedmont-Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, Georgia.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Tweedell, Sr., of Locust Grove, GA; three daughters, Amanda King (husband, Randy) of Locust Grove, GA, Laura Leonard (husband, Wade) of Senoia, GA, and Grace Lynn Kinard of Locust Grove, GA; one son, Billy Tweedell, Jr.; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Clara Mahaffey (husband, James) Pheonix, AZ, and Connie Dugger (husband, Ed) of Roanoke.
An Albany, Georgia native, Mrs. Tweedell was born on December 4, 1956, the daughter of Clarence Sylvester and Grace Rickeson Gay. She was a member of Rock Springs Methodist Church in Milner, Georgia and worked as a seamstress. Mrs. Tweedell was preceded in death by her parents.
