OBITUARY
Funeral services for, Mr. William Darnell Ward, age 65, of Roanoke, will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 20, 2010, from the Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Stanley Yarbrough and Rev. Kenneth Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memory Gardens with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home on Friday, November 19, 2010.
Mr. Ward died Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Randolph Medical Center.
Mr. Ward is survived by one daughter, Lisa (husband David) Looney of LaGrange, GA; one son, Kevin Ward of Roanoke; one brother, Wayne Ward of Roanoke; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Bob Dyar, Bill Dyar, Bo Tucker, Jody Ward and Josh Dyar. Honorary pallbearers will be Will Looney.
Mr. Ward was born, December 16, 1944, the son of Emory V. and Orrie Holderfield Ward. He was a member of Bethany Lime Congregational Christian Church and had been owner of Wards Service Center. Mr. Ward was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Earl Ward; one son, William Randall Ward; his parents; one sister, Dorothy Dyar; one brother, Raymond Ward.
