Funeral services for Pierce M. “Daddy Pierce” Stewart, age 84, of Wadley, will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016, at 2 PM from Corinth Christian Church with Rev. Johnny Bishop, Rev. Claude Bennett and Michael Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Corinth Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 PM on Thursday, February 11, 2016.
Mr. Stewart passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at East Alabama Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife: JoAnn Holliday Stewart of Wadley; two daughters: Susan Fran Cassiano of Alexander City, and Van Wheeles of Wadley; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lena Seymour of Wadley and Bovene Langley of Roanoke.
Pallbearers will be Randolph County Rescue Squad.
A Randolph County native, Mr. Stewart was born on January 2, 1932, the son of Thomas Wesley & Willie John Parker Stewart. He was a member of Corinth Christian Church and retired salesman for Wadley Cash & Carry with forty years’ service and a member of the Rescue Squad for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Elton Stewart and one sister, Mary Emma Siggers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Corinth Christian Church Cemetery Fund, 1260 County Road 49, Wadley, AL 36276.

Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
