Obituary of Jerry E Whaley, Jr.

Graveside services for Jerry E. Whaley, Jr., age 56, of Roanoke will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at 2:00 PM from Randolph Memory Gardens with Rev. Tim Whaley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 PM on Thursday, January 7, 2016. Mr. Whaley passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at his residence. Survivors include his cousins, Peggie Ward, Jimmy Robinson, Ricky Robinson, Kenneth Mitchum, Mike Parmer, Alan Whaley, Kathy Whaley and Randy Whaley; his aunt, Sue Parmer; his uncle, Buck Robinson; aunt and uncle, Don and Geraldine Whaley; and aunt and uncle, Baron and Janelle Whaley. Pallbearers will be Mike Parmer, Rick Robinson, Roger Hester, Alan Whaley, and Tim Frye. A Roanoke native, Mr. Whaley was born on June 27, 1959, the son of Gene and Betty Robinson Whaley. He was a parts rebuilder for Mohawk Industries. Mr. Whaley was preceded in death by his parents; cousins, Rhonda Frye, Punk Robinson, and Bobby Robinson; uncle and aunt, Junior and Flonnie May Robinson; aunt, Doris Robinson; and grandparents, Coy and Beulah Robinson.
