Obituary of Coy T. Robinson

Funeral services for Coy T. “Junior” Robinson, age 90, of Roanoke will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Billy Puckett and Mayor Mike Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, October 1, 2015.
Mr. Robinson passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at his residence.
Survivors include: one daughter, Peggie Ward (husband, Wayne) of Roanoke; one son, Jimmy Robinson (wife, Deborah) of Roanoke; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Sue Parmer of Roanoke; and one brother, Buck Robinson of Roanoke.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Robinson, Jr., Joseph Ward, Mike Parmer, Rick Robinson, Billy Richardson and Brantley Richardson. Honorary pallbearers will be Riley Richardson, Cameron Nuckolls, and Brent Nuckolls.
A Roanoke native, Mr. Robinson was born on May 5, 1925, the son of Coy Jefferson and Beulah Mae Browning Robinson. He was a United States Army Air Corp Veteran of World War II, worked for Handley Mill and retired from Dunson Mill at West Point Pepperell, and was an avid cattle farmer and domino player. Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Flonnie Mae Robinson; two sisters; and one brother.

About Us
Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
