Obituary of Eleanor Grace Hartley

Funeral services for Eleanor Grace Hartley, age 84, of Roanoke, will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2015, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ricky Emery officiating. Burial will follow at Alabama Heritage Cemetery in Montgomery, AL. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. Mrs. Hartley passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at Traylor’s Nursing Center. Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie Emery (husband, Ricky) of Roanoke; one son, Randy Hartley (wife, Alice) of Jeffersonville, IN; five grandchildren, Jessica Emery, John Emery (wife, Mia), Allison Emery, Faith Hartley Hobson (husband, Aaron), and Kelly Hartley; three sisters, Joyce Bolling, Alyce Bolling, and Jeannie Boyd, all of Prattville, AL; and one brother, Bobby Rhodes of Prattville, AL. Pallbearers will include John Emery, Andy Bolling, and Aaron Hobson. A Chilton County native, Mrs. Hartley was born on December 3, 1930, the daughter of Felix and Aileen Baker Rhodes. She was a member of High Pine Baptist Church and had worked for the Alabama Department of Human Resources. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde Hartley; one sister, Faye Rhodes; and two brothers, Tommy Rhodes and Felix Rhodes.
