Funeral services for R.L. Knight, age 77, of Wadley, will be held on Monday, August 31, 2015, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ricky Cummings officiating. Burial will follow at Forrester Chapel Cemetery with Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 PM on Monday.
Mr. Knight passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Roanoke Health Care.
Survivors include two sisters, Velma Nolan of Wadley and Elsie Perry of Roanoke; five brothers, Ezra Knight of Wadley, Clifford Knight of Roanoke, Billy Knight of Wadley, Franklin Knight of Roanoke, and Manley Knight of Cragford; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Don Knight, Scott Taylor, Bill Denney, Roger Hester, Bruce Albright, Roger Albright, Austin Knight, and Kem Screws.
A lifelong resident of Wadley, Mr. Knight was born on December 12, 1937, the son of Dowell Harlin and Eva Bernice Hester Knight. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Denia Screws; and two brothers, Emory Knight and Tony Knight.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Forrester Chapel Cemetery c/o Tommy Carson, 412 County Rd. 826, Wadley, AL 36276.

About Us
Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
