Memorial services for Geneva J. Adams, age 69, of Roanoke, will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 1:30 PM CST from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Minister Butch Jones officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-1:30 PM CST on Saturday, May 16, 2015.
Mrs. Adams passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, Charles L. Adams of Roanoke; one daughter, Charlotte Adams Finver of Boca Raton, FL; two sons, David Charles Adams of Newnan, GA and Daniel Hudson Adams of Roanoke; three grandchildren, Megan Finver, Jared Finver, and Kaitlyn Adams; one brother, Nathan Johnson of Yorkville, GA; one niece, Kelley Kitchens of Douglasville, GA; two great nieces, Emma Kitchens and Sadie Kitchens; two special nieces, Lillie and Mattie Brown of Roanoke; and one nephew, Stephen Johnson of Yorkville, GA.
Born in Whitfield County, Georgia, Mrs. Adams grew up in the Cashes Valley area of Gilmer County and was a graduate of the 1963 West Fannin County High School class. A resident of Roanoke for 36 years, Mrs. Adams was born on December 12, 1945, the daughter of Boyd and Carrie Newton Johnson. She retired as a teacher from the Troup County Board of Education. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Rodger Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Randolph County Animal Shelter, 104 Animal Shelter Rd., Wedowee, AL 36278.

About Us
Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
