Funeral services for William John “Bill” King, age 81, of Rock Mills will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at 2:00 PM from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tim Whaley and Rev. Frank Korb officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 5, 2015.
Mr. King passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Norred King of Rock Mills; two sons, John R. King (wife, Sherry) and Ron King of Rock Mills; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Patricia Brown of Fredricksburg, VA; and one brother, Warren King of Rock Hill, SC.
Pallbearers will be Chase King, Chaz King, Lewis Walter, Josh Key, Chad Norred, and Sidney Norred.
A New Jersey native, Mr. King was born on July 2, 1933, the son of William Warren and Mary Margaret Fogeraty King. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, a member of Rock Mills Methodist Church, and was a retired Defense Contractor for the U.S. Government. Mr. King was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Joseph King.
Memorials may be floral or donations may be made to Rock Mills Methodist Church c/o Sherry Towler, 66664 Highway 22, Roanoke, AL 36274.

Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
