Obituary of Brandy Rebecca Treadwell

Funeral services for Brandy Rebecca Treadwell, age 37, of Roanoke will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at 2:00 PM from Rock Stand Christian Church with Rev. Ryan Conger and Pastor Lee Frost officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery at a later day. Quattlebaum Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00-8:00 PM on Monday, May 4, 2015. Ms. Treadwell will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to services beginning on Tuesday. Ms. Treadwell passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015, in Lee County. Survivors include her fiancé, Grady Payne; one daughter, Scharlett Treadwell (fiancé, Bobby Sheppard) of Roanoke; one son, Jay Treadwell of Roanoke; four step-children, Tristin Simions, Austin Payne, and Kara Payne of Opelika and Ashley Singleton of Dadeville; three grandchildren; parents, James M. and Novice Treadwell of Roanoke; one sister, Jackie Gilliland of Roanoke; one brother, Jamie Treadwell (wife, Heather), and nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Bobby Sheppard, Richard Waldrep, Brandon Langley, Jonathan Williams, Johnathon Gilliland, and Jamie Treadwell. A Roanoke native, Ms. Treadwell was born on November 8, 1977, the daughter of James Melvin and Novice Mitchell Treadwell. She was a member of Rock Stand Christian Church and was a stay-at-home mom. Ms. Treadwell was preceded in death by her daughter Chloe Treadwell; companion, Dennis Cato; and grandparents, Byron & Inez Mitchell and Clyde & Ora Treadwell.
