Jimmy was a wonderful man. Preaching the gospel everywhere he went. Sheltering the homeless. Feeding the poor. Even if it meant that he did without. Never took advantage of another..he lived to spread love and the show others God. It was such an honor to have been his friend. I love you honey wherever you are. I'll never forget you. Quattlebaum’s was founded in 1930 by Robert B. Quattlebaum on Roanoke’s West Point Street. Relocated to Maple Drive, Quattlebaum Funeral Home was just across from Knight Sanatorium for many years. In 1953, a new building was constructed on College Street – where the funeral home is today.
