OBITUARY
Funeral service for Joseph Hershal Bennett, Jr., age 60, of Roanoke, will be held Sunday, August 22, 2010, at 2:00 pm from Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Rev. J. D. Bearden officiating. Burial will follow at Potash Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 am on Sunday.
Mr. Bennett died Friday, August 20, 2010, at East Alabama Medical Center.
Survivors include five sisters, Geraldine Bozeman of Roanoke, Cleo B. Gordon and Eleanor Johnson, both of Lanett, Dora Holloway of Rock Mills and Earlene Smith of Macon, Ga.; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Milam, Rodney Milam, Chad Bozeman, Bill Puckett and Derrick Miller.
A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mr. Bennett was born June 30, 1950, at Valley, son of Joseph Hershal Bennett, Sr. and Pearl LaRuth Baxter Bennett. He was a painter and a member of Mt. Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Edward Bennett and Herman Bennett; two sisters, Mary Fulghum and Bobby Jean Mosley.
